OUR DAY

Internaut is a term for a designer, operator, or technically capable user of the Internet. Beginning with participants in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), it gradually expanded to members of the Internet Society (ISoc) and the larger community.

The Internaut day is celebrated on August 23, anniversary of the WWW - World Wide Web, which was developed in the CERN laboratories (Enquire / EV project) in Switzerland during 1989 - 1990, and opened to new users after that day in 1991.

The WWW creation by Tim Berners-Lee enabled non-technical computer experts to use the Internet in a simple and quick way, making it accessible to billions of people around the world: the internauts.

Sir Timothy John "Tim" Berners-Lee is an English computer scientist, best known as the inventor of the World Wide Web. He made a proposal for an information management system in March 1989, and he implemented the first successful communication between a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) client and server via the Internet sometime around mid November of that same year.

Funnybones

Funnybones was a Welsh children's television comedy series which was first aired in Welsh on S4C and in English on BBC One in 1992. It was based on the eponymous series of books by Janet and Allan Ahlberg which were illustrated by Andre Amstutz, and focused upon the adventures of a gang of skeletons (sometimes known as the Funnybones). There was Big ("Senior") Funnybone (whose catchphrase was "Good idea."), Little ("Junior") Funnybone, (who was the brains of the outfit), and (White, White) Dog ("These Bones") Funnybone (whose catchphrase was "Woof."). Each episode was 5 minutes in length. The voices were provided by popular comedian Griff Rhys Jones who also played Moon Man, who served as the narrator in the TV series.

Captain Britain (Brian Braddock), briefly known as Britannic, is a fictional character, a superhero appearing in the comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe, he first appeared in Captain Britain Weekly, #1 (October 13, 1976). The character has been used in stories through the years by many people, most notably Chris Claremont, Alan Davis, and Alan Moore.

The character was initially intended to be a British equivalent of Captain America. Endowed with extraordinary powers by the legendary magician Merlyn and his daughter Roma, Captain Britain was assigned to uphold the laws of Britain.
